Construction

A high standard for construction quality is obvious at Praxis Skis. All of our skis are handcrafted by passionate skiers who take pride in the finished product and who follow a pressing and layup protocol that has been engineered to create a long lasting design. Aspen and Ash full length vertical laminated wood cores are custom made in house from the highest quality lumber available.  Our cores are developed to be both strong and lightweight: ash is used down the center of the ski for strength, stiffness, and improved binding screw retention, while aspen is used in the perimeter of the core to create lightweight and durable fat skis.

Our skis are fully protected by oversized edges that wrap 360 degrees around thick 4001 sintered running bases that are tough and fast.

We are now using a more durable Nylon blended top sheet that is not only lightweight, it’s stronger with better chip and scratch resistance. Our skis look great after months of skiing them, and they maintain a glossy finish that beautifully displays the artwork. And all of this is stuck together with a high grade flexible epoxy developed for impact resistance and long life in extreme conditions.

Our skis are race ready out of the box. Each pair of skis we sell is fully tuned by one of the best tune shops in the nation, and comes with a customize Praxis stone grind;  edge polish/bevel; and a multi-stage, deep penetrating waxing process.

At Praxis Skis, our marketing dollars are spent producing a higher quality product that we hope speaks for itself.

Enjoy the ride, and know that we enjoyed creating it.
