Kevin O’Meara
Current Location:
Squaw Valley, California and the Lake Tahoe Region, 12 years
Hobbies Outside Of Skiing:
Downhill mountain biking and fly fishing
Music You Like To Ski To:
A myriad of artists and genres… Songs that flow make it onto my ski list. Hip-hop when I’m jibbin’. And I’ve been on this Rise Against kick along with some other similar bands.
Music You Like To Have Sex To:
I can’t recall having sex to music recently
Book You’re Currently Reading:
Me? Read? The last book I read was Squallywood, bro…I’m way radder than you!!
Favorite Dish:
That’s and easy one, lasagna!
Dream Trip (What, Where, Who):
Hmmm… If there was just one destination that I could choose, it would have to be Alaska on a year like this! Endless heli bumps to Chugach lines and steep powder with all of my boys from Praxis Skis, and some of my favorite skiers, too, like Sage, Chopo, Tabke, Daiek, Jackson, and so many more!
Raddest Thing You Did In 2010-2011:
I traveled, skiing in Argentina and Chile for most of August… It was a lot of fun because of the company I was with. In addition to our Tahoe crew we traveled and hung out with all the freeskiers that were down there and it definitely enriched the experience.

Plans For 2011-2012:
I want the world to know that Praxis Skis has grown and matured and we are now making some of the best skis in the world. Sharing that knowledge is a priority for me. I also want to continue to compete in the Freeskiing World Tour events, and bring a different approach where it’s not all about winning, but it IS all about FUN!
Who Do You Ski With Mostly:
I ski with my groms from the Squaw Valley Freestyle and Freeride team and the Praxis crew, but sometimes I like going out to KT by myself just to see who I’ll hook up with… Dan Krenicki still one of my fav’s!
Favorite Ski(s):
My favorite skis are the 183 Mountain Jib, because it’s a ski that totally suits my skiing style… playful and aggressive, with intent to charge the big mountain lines and still have the mobility to cruise through the park or send tricks off cliffs, wind lips, and backcountry kickers; and the Powder Boards, because since we started making these, I have done things on these skis that I have never been able to do on ANY other skis, and it’s just a better, more fun ride in the pow; and no quiver would be complete without a pair of Park/Pipe skis. Our 181 near true twin design rounds out my quiver for those days in the park.
Why Do You Ski For Praxis:
I ski Praxis Skis because they are just better! You might think that I have a biased opinion, but I’m just talking as a skier. They are designed and built by skiers who are as passionate about skiing as anyone out there, by people who care about the experience that other skiers will have on Praxis Skis, and are not afraid to delve into new technologies and lead the industry in evolving our sport.
